Adrian & Sarah - Connemara Coast Hotel, Galway
Sarah and Adrian have to be one of the happiest, smiliest couples I have come across in all my years shooting weddings! I feel like Sarah's smile and energy radiated beautifully into every photo I captured throughout the day! The morning began at Sarah's family home on the outskirts of Galway city, where Wanderlust Weddings Videography and I (who just happens to be my brother!) were greeted with the warmest of welcomes and this set the tone for the entire day! The day itself was very autumnal, with passing heavy squalls followed by gorgeous low Autumn light! After the ceremony and family portraits were complete, the couple had an obligatory sneaky pint at the Crane Bar right beside the church, before heading over to The Cladagh, Galway, for a shoot using the synonymous Galway back drop! On the way to the hotel we made a quick stop in the Barna Woods, Galway, to take advantage of the beautiful autumnal foliage. It is always a treat to have time for a second portrait shoot, and gives the couple more time together on their wedding day. When we arrived at the hotel it was obvious why the Connemara Coast Hotel was chosen as their venue. It has breathtaking views of Galway Bay and the Burren in Co. Clare visible in the distance from the dining room and reception areas! I was more than happy with both the variety of photographs we had shot at this point but couldn't resist putting the icing on the cake by popping outside for one last shoot overlooking the bay at sunset, and it did not disappoint! Ten minutes later we had the couple back with their guests and myself and Wanderlust Weddings had captured a truly unique portrait session which couldn't have come together any better!
